11/3/13

Back to work tomorrow.  Must try to draw everyday!

11/2/13

I managed a few intensive days of monoprinting and drawing.

Here is just one of them. I will post more in a few days.  All are approx A2/A3 size/

Made from sweet wrappers and boot laces and a very awful beaded waistcoat that I took apart.

Black beaded Tree (detail of larger piece)

This piece was created both on the sewing machine (like a drawing tool) and later mainly by hand, including all those beads. I sewed quite a lot of it on the bus, on my way to work each day. I used shoe laces to create the outline

These trees are all over france.  They remind me of knuckles and fingers.

This piece was made whilst travelling through France.  We stayed about 3 months in St Jean de Lucs. I used mainly materials that I found, including shoe laces and chocolate wrappers.  I had a small old hand operated sewing machine with me.

This is the caravan (Eriba Puck) that we lived in for about a year.
